Angie's love for horses began at a young age growing up in San Diego, California. She was fortunate to have 2 horses, a large paint pony gelding and a quarter cross mare that she personally trained for Gymkhana events. She became a member of the Granite Hills Horseman Association where she won many day and year end awards. This grew into a love for barrel racing as a young adult, becoming a member of the West Coast Barrel Racers Association and caring a card in WPRA, competing in jackpots and rodeos across California, Arizona and Nevada. Earning money, trophy buckles and awards on a Appaloosa gelding she trained with incredible speed. She began to realize her natural ability to connect with these magnificent creatures. She honed her skills and knowledge by working with various breeds and exploring different disciplines, never shying away from a new challenge.
Angie owned and operated an extremely popular horse rental, trail riding, riding lesson and summer camp program called Adventures on Horseback in Malibu for 8 years. During that time she also worked with a multitude of celebrities preparing them for movie rolls, providing horses and wranglers for MTV commercials, music videos and even dating shows!
Eventually she branched out into training and competing on the All Around Circuits at the local, state and National level on the APHA, AQHA, PtHa and ETI circuits, stepping away from the trail riding operation and renaming her barn Silver Lining Ranch. Some of those disciplines included Western Pleasure, Trail Obstacle, Horsemanship, Showmanship, Performance Halter, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter Jumper and even training level Dressage! She and her students have won multiple world and state championships over the years. This wide range of experience has made her an expert in understanding the unique needs of each horse and rider, tailoring her training methods accordingly.
